You didn't write down the serial number on the unit before sending it off, did you? If you did, I'd bet it's different than on the returned unit.

and i did write down serial. Not only that my xbox is different from regular xbox. There is this unremovable thing under it (this unremovable white marks, all over the bottem). Not only that, i dint give him the refund yet. Meaning i can screw him, which i wont do unless it is not my xbox.

First of all, what does NO FAT CHICKS have to do with anything. Second of all patheticality is not a word. Third of all, my computer is quite good while not the most up to date hardware.

Personally, I wouldn't have spent the cash until the guy told me he had it and it was working. You know, just in case...
But if you are so certain it was working I'd still press forward with the insurance. However, if dumpster diving is all you feel you can do, good luck. It really isn't "illegal" it take items in a dumpster, but it is illegal to pilfer through private property, and most companies consider their dumpster just that. I've heard of mild success stories of people getting a few PDAs, and stuff out the back of CompUSA,Staples etc, but if you live in a town that is even mildly large you can forget it. You'll either be in competition with umpteen other people or else the law will be patrolling the lot due to excessive "visitations".

Well i planed on 2 plans:
1. fix xbox and get loan from sister and resell xbox to gamespot
2. let gamespot fix it and resell it.
ill do either depending on which is cheaper since a new laser cost 23 bucks on ebay
