I went to check msconfig today, and found a new entry: "dumprep 0 -k". This wasn't there before. I did a Google search for this, and found that there is a similar entry (dumprep 0 -u) that is related to the sasser virus, but the computer that I found this on is not connected to the internet. Can anyone tell my why this is there?

I've seen it before and like you it was with a computer that was virus free.
Most likely this is what you're seeing.

When you get a error like a bluescreen,it dumps that info into a .dmp file.
That way ifsomeone that knows how to debug/read .dmp files that can be very useful in diagnosing the problem of caused the bluescreens.

Like it mentions you can have comp not create the dmp files.

dumprep 0 -k N dumprep 0 -k Used in connection with memory dumps - you can disable these by - right clicking on My Computer, selecting Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on the Settings button in 'Startup and Recovery'. In the bottom pane - under 'Write debugging information' - click on the down arrow and then select 'None' - OK your way out
