Dumping Physical Memory to disk??!

I have installed Hitman 2 on my windows xp computer. The game starts ok but about 3 seconds into the intro I get an error:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Dumping Physical Memory.

I tried intalling the program on the same computer with Windows 98, without any problems. Can anyone tell me what the culprit is?
