I've been an AT&T VoIP customer for a long time now - about a month and a half.

I'm very seriously considering getting a VZW account and a Samsung A650 (-$50 after rebate)

Thoughts? Comments?

How does VZW's roaming system work? Can I be on their network anywhere in the country and not have to pay roaming (so long as it's their net)

Do it. I don't want to rely on internet service to be able to place a call.

My internet is more reliable than my Verizon landline was. That's why I got VoIP. Every time it rained, the landline was waterlogged. They claimed there wasn't a problem because they always hokeyed around until the line dried out. 911 got signalled twice when the line was shorted as such.

My verizon wireless has been my main phone for the past couple of years and has replaced my landline.
