DUMD question: Does nForce4 have intergrated video?

I need to know because the Zalman web site says that the Northbridge chipset cannot have intergrated video for the fanless heatsink to be compatible.

No, they don't. Some nForce and nForce2 chipsets did, and there's supposed to be a version of nForce4 with integrated video coming up around the corner.

nForce 4 was mainly targeted for the higher-range of buyers...which all most likely would use a stand alone VGA card...or even go SLI therefore there was no need for onboard VGA....

Most onboard VGA we see nowdays can only be found on mini-ATX motherboards.....as these motherboards are usually used on people with a money diet or for companies...which the bOSS doesnt want his workers playing games.......yea

Now thats funnyeeeee

But, just out of curiosity, when those nForce2 chipsets did have integrated video, was it inside the Northbridge chipset or on another chip on the motherboard?

BTW, does anyone have experience with those fanless Zalman Northbridge chipset heatsinks? If I wanted to overclock the CPU on an Asus K8N4-E Deluxe, would it overheat the Northbridge chipset?

It's the Zalman ZM-NB47J and I wanted to get that one since it's on the shoprbc (Canada) web site for $10 CDN and I read in reviews that the heatsink fan on the Northbridge chipset is "teh carp".

It's called "integrated" because it is. The graphics unit is an integral (see?) function of the northbridge.

But yeah, just leave it alone. Mainboard makers generally know what they're doing, and that involves fitting appropriate thermal solutions.
