Dumbest thing I've ever done...

I'd have to say paying 430 bucks for BFG's dual-fan 6800GTOC. I absolutely HATE the dual-fan. It's loud, blue leds don't match, give you NO extra cooling, and cost me 30 more bucks. I'm gonna eventually replace it with some arctic NVcooler, but that's 30 bucks down the drain. Damnit I hate wasting money.

Word of warning to those getting a BFG. Get the single fan.

LOL if that's the dumbest thing you've ever done, thank whatever gods you worship for the charmed existence you've lead.

The cost of the video card is nothing, the cost of the silencer is less than nothing.

Rejoice in the care free life- there are worse mistakes than buying the wrong fan on your video card.

Fair enough, everyone is entitled not to like their HSF, and fan noise bothers some more than others.

As a 5800Ultra lover, I'm probably not one of those. 😉

I never overclocked my GPU to the extent I would need an after market or a special HSF unit. The only reason why I may be interested is to keep my PC silent. So you have a valid point.

That fan is pretty loud. I'm thinking about getting an NV Silencer for it to quiet it down
