How do you attempt to shoot people that are chasing you and instead shoot your own leg???

I'm just trying to grasp the physics of that.

When I was in highschool, our football quarterback robbed a bank with his older brother while both were high on cocaine. He wore his letter jacket to the crime. Was later conviced and sent to state prison for a few months. Returned to the same highschool to graduate.

Yes I know this sounds like an urban legand, but it actually happened :)

Needless to say, we need a little more chlorine in his part of the gene pool.

I think he must have come from the shallow end of the gene pool.

Umm... no. There are very highly intelligent and organized thieves out there and they steal for a living. They are some of the hardest people to catch and prosecute. Now, your average drug using or alcoholic thief is going to be a fool that cares more about scoring than his own butt.

Blaine served nearly 20 years in prison after being convicted of a bank robbery in Maryland in 1963.

Damn, how old is this guy now? At least 50 and trying to rob banks?

This remind me of that old saying, "You're an idiot!"

Well, I totally understand it. Maybe he wanted to go back? The way I see it is this....what do you do at 50 after you have spent 20 years of your life in prision...no family...no money...I guess its time to go rob a bank

Okay, but wasn't shooting himself in the leg a bit of overkill? :p

I guess he pulled the trigger a little to early.

Sounds like the scene from "Six Mile".
8 Mile.
No, it's "Six Mile".....an ultra-low budget knockoff of "8 mile" starring all the Baldwin brothers and Anna Nicole Smith as the love interest. It's great if you've just knocked back a few Drano-n-Cokes. :p
