What is the dumbest excuse/funniest excuse you've ever seen?...

Mine would be.
"Please buy it, its to help my grandma move..."
I would consider it serious, but its still a tad funny if you think about it..

Yeah, it's only rare that it seems appropriate to justify the sale by extenuating circumstances.

Reminds me of how when local taxes are to be raised it's always "for the children", and not because everything else in the government budget is screwed up.

i had a guy trade RC cars with me once a long time ago and when he got his end of the deal, he called and asked me to buy him a new chassis and rear shock tower made out of carbon fiber because he thought he was getting the short end of the deal. i was like dude go screw your mom if you think im going to add money to this deal. he got a very even trade...this was years ago so i have no reason to lie about it now. the deal was fair - almost exactly. he was just being a crybaby.
