if I'm running ZA (freebie), does it run while the system is sitting waiting for login (the Ctl+Alt+Del)? I don't see it as a service, so.........

Take it easy, I only write the pages, I don't know what makes 'em run.........

Look under your services applet for items containing the words "True Vector". That's the ZoneAlarm services.
