dumb WinXP / IE6 question

I disabled XP's default use of zip files, and installed WinZip 8.

Everything's working great. However, in IE6, at the box asking what you want to do with a file - open it in an application, save as, or whatever - I unticked the "Ask me what I want do with this file" checkbox, and now, when I click to download a zip file, it downloads to the system's temp directory and opens the file in front of me. Instead, I just want a Save As dialog...how can I change this?

i never could get a answer for this. thats why i reformated.

but im sure there is a simple answer if you look in the Knowedgebase at MS's site

try just going into the internet explorers properties and reset all the web settings, little things like this suck though

or you could just reinstall internet explorer possibly

maybe you should try winzip 8.1 which is supposidly more intergrated for XP.
for what it's worth, I didn't turn off XP's default use of compressed files & installed winzip 8.1 & don't seem to have your problems.
