Dumb T-Bird C question

I am looking at getting a T-bird min 1g and have been pondering a 900 at 1.1 vs a 1g@1.27. Granted there is a price difference, but it got me thinking. Won't the 1ghz "C" chips be just about the same as 750 B chips that can reach 1ghz by going 7.5x133? Possibly limiting the upside oc'ing potential? Just a thought.

In my opinion, a 1ghz C and a 1ghz B are the same, not the same as a 750. The only difference would be default multiplier setting. The reason is that there is absolutely zero manufacturing effort required to make a 1ghz b a C... make all tbirds with every bridge closed. Find their highest stable speed, then cut 50% of them with "C" and 50% of them with "B" bridges. It would be stupid to make only B cpus, then see if any 750's can do 1ghz, since that would have pretty much no Cs (cause the 750s are 750s only because they can't go faster - on standard cooling).
