Due to me not having much time to spend here anymore, here is a little post from me Let me leave you with this "Monel Education Lesson"

Dumb, stupid things you have done this past week
1) Pissed in a toilet while intoxicated, and forgot to pick up the seat first. Noticed error when leg got sprayed.

2) Decided it would be a good idea to make a "Soda Can Cannon", and use WAY too much boom powder. My neighbor just finally got his window replaced.

3) Replace the main oil seal on a 86 S-10 pickup on the Labor day weekend. After all three days of working on it, my transmission is now leaking. I went from...

A 3 day weekend. 1 small oil leak from engine. Lots of time.

to...

No more 3 day weekend. Add 1 major tranny leak. No time. No operating truck. No way to work/etc. Minus $215.21 in repair costs for engine seals, parts I broke, etc. No beer (Had to give it to boss to let me work on it in the shop) Much frustration. Add 1 Cresent wrench, 1 Ford wrench, 1 timing light, and a cheap flat head screw driver (It was on sale ) to my tool box, but remove 1 meter, 2 pin punches, 1 jet light, 1 bore scope, and 1 cylinder micrometer that got destroyed in my fits of frustration.

Lesson? Don't try to french kiss a badger. Or household kitchen appliances for that matter. Both bite like hell.

This was last week but its good enough that I'll call it out I've got a bent wheel on my car while I'm waiting for the new ones to come in. I thought checking the lug nuts every 3-4 days was enough to keep them from vibrating loose. Lets just say loosing a wheel isnt fun!

I know the feeling Soybomb. It happened to me in a 71 Olds Cutlass at 90-110 MPH downhill, with a turn and a cornfield at the end. Last thing I remember seeing was cornstalks screaming for their lives

I thought that son-of-a-@#$%# was going to peck my eyes out before I could get that can up his tale!

Haha sounds like you had a harder time than I did Monel, I was only going about 40 and in a straight line and incredibly enough when the rim came off the studs, the brake rotor rode on the inner part of the wheel. Still hard to get the thing up high enough to get the wheel back on though
