Most ATX cases have mounting holes for full size ATX and micro ATX motherboard stand-offs. Which means that it will work if you have these extra threaded holes. If you look at the side of your case opposite the motherboard. you should see spare holes that do not have stand-offs in them. These would be the ones for mounting a micro ATX board.

Usually, yes. Always, no.

I've had a couple Intel i810 boards that would not work well in an Enlight Midtower ATX case. Micro-atx is shorter than ATX, but at least the intel M-ATX boards that I have worked with were CONSIDERABLY wider than your standard ATX motherboards.

The specific problem that I had was the board was so close to the front of the case that a CDROM would not slide all the way into place in the drive cage. The motherboard was so wide that it blocked the drive from fitting into the rails.

Most M-ATX cases have the motherboards slide underneath the drive cages avoiding the problem of the drives butting up against the board. Look for an ATX case that has room for the motherboard to fit UNDER the drive cages.
