At least those to whom you're directing this statement to don't seem to labor under your self-aggrandizing illusion that their beliefs somehow make them noble, interesting, a rebel, or anything other than pathetically and boringly ordinary. Instead you wear what you feel is a chic persona of living vicariously through the deeds of others, and wind up looking ridiculous like a child wearing his big brother's clothes. You'd be the first to claim phrases like "shoot, you'll only going to kill a man" but would be the last to risk actually taking a stand which would put you at personal risk. You fancy yourself this guy, but are actually him

You know what is funny, is that you have no clue who that man is in the picture. But you know, yes, someone who had their coutnry taken over by insane fascism would be a somewhat good representation. But, I am not crying or snieveling. The right may own the media and the government but the american people still rule in the end.

That gentlemen fought on against the right wing nazis even though the odds were against him and defeat of his homeland seemed total when that picture was taken, you can bomb us, you can bruise us...............

When they kick at your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

When the law break in
How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement
Or waiting on death row

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, the guns of Brixton

The money feels good
And your life you like it well
But surely your time will come
As in heaven, as in hell

You see, he feels like Ivan
Born under the Brixton sun
His game is called survivin'
At the end of the harder they come

You know it means no mercy
They caught him with a gun
No need for the Black Maria
Goodbye to the Brixton sun

You can crush us
You can bruise us
Yes, even shoot us
But oh-the guns of Brixton

When they kick at your front door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or on the trigger of your gun

You can crush us
You can bruise us
Yes, even shoot us
But oh-the guns of Brixton

Shot down on the pavement
Waiting in death row
His game is called survivin'
As in heaven as in hell

You can crush us
You can bruise us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, the guns of Brixton

But you will never stop the guns of brixton, the will of the people will always win over corprotism and fascism of the right.

YOu know what is funny, is that you have no clue who that man is in the picture.

AFAIK the man in that shot has never been identified by name and is simply known as the crying man watching the Nazis marching through the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I actually think this photo better expresses what type of person I think you are, but I bet you have no clue who that man is in the picture.

Kinda funny, you are.

Accusing ME of being the one who sold their country out to right-wing extremists, that would be you.

I would be more along the lines of fighting with who this is named after, one who knew his country was overrun by right wing skum and fought on, even against the US government and all who were against him for liberty.

You would fit in well with your kristofascist american uber-alles tendancies to vichy. Not I my dear right wing hack.

Depends on what you mean, if you use the original defintion of the word conservative, liberal and communist (or so be more correct, socialism. Communim is not really a political ideology, it is a system) that is not correct.

If you back the original definitions you will find that conservatives have more in common with socialists (and they did indeed collaborate back in the 19th century when these ideologies where founded) than with liberals.

There is actually such a thing as "ultra-liberalism" but it is usually called "Manchester-liberalism" (from the english city) which was a school of radical liberalism/libertarianism at the end of the 19th century (it is also known as lathissez-faire liberalism).
Basically its ideas boils down to small central goverment, free trade, very few laws and a completely free market.
According to Manchester liberalism e.g child labour is OK since the free market is always right, if there is a market for child labour so be it. Rich people do not have to work in factories since they "deserve" to be rich (and since the market is right the fact that they are rich means that they deserve it). Any attempts to control the free market would lead to disaster.

It should come as no suprise that many of the people that were advocating these ideas owned factories and mines in citiies like Manchester, factories thay employed a lot of children and where the working conditions where terrible.

So ultra-liberalism is actually more or less the opposite of communism.

This is why you hear leaders from across the world denounce us as the "neo-liberals", -exactly what you describe.

Republicans are laissez-faire corporatist neo-liberals out of control. Fascism preying once again on the good intentions of a proud people.

First sign of taking advantage, nationalism. It is the rights fuel for hate.

Thats what both sides want you to believe in order to swing your vote.
It goes along with my other opinion that all Democrats and Republicans are good for is pointing fingers at each other.

Close

Ultra-Conservative = Anti-America Corporate Whore

Ultra-Liberal = True America Loving Patriot

Totally assinine, most ultra leftists I know are more into smash the state stuff, american nationalism being the least patriotic thing. Give it a rest today, even you know that is silly.

Patriotism does not = good american, it means you are spoonfed crap, or you have been brainwashed in a military career and play along, thats about it.

"No matter that patriotism is too often the refuge of scoundrels. Dissent, rebellion, and all-around hell-raising remain the true duty of patriots."

A real patriot has one hand full of a burning flag and the other around the throat of our two party system. And yes you can quote me on that.

In our country it would probably be something like this:

Ultra-conservative: Theocratic Corporatism
Ultra-liberal: Environmental Communist

Both of them suck.

Nice try, never said special forces, I think that was one of your wingnut buddies who said I fit their idea of one though. Raildogg, maybe nutz, maybe even Reddy Dip/Dawn. *shrug*

You do not have a very good memory do you? Funny if you cannot remember a conversation a page or so long here maybe year ago, what else are you FOS about?

By the way, use mop and glo on your boots. Much cheaper, get that jackboot fascist shine you can see your own shameful reflection in baby ;)

The question is do neocons even have a reflection????

In all fairness, as long as you're making categorically dismissive remarks like this, I think he's right that neoconservatism has really taken it in the shorts in the past couple of years, and the 2006 elections may sound its death knell (we can only hope!).

Steeplebot took the first shi1t in the thread, I'm just throwing the poop

And no, I don't disagree. I think "centrists/moderates" probably have the most political capital moving forward. Most folks are tired of both the SteepleBots and the Zendari's of the world.

What truth? That I should have jumped down from hiding in the ceiling and kill cops in abandonded building? Get a clue already. I was brave when I was 19 or whatever but I do not generally make a habit of sneaking up on people with guns in the act of something VERY illegal where my body would never be found. Like I said, what do you know of life?

Your about as street smart as the losers you follow in their stuffy suits and easy money.

Thats some downright stupid ideas you have there, one of the dumber ones on here I have heard yet.

Anyhow, the place got torched shortly afterword, noone could sleep there anymore, bad scene none of us will forget.

Like I said, 2 guns vs. the squat key I had on me, yeah, some coward. Grow up.

I have a funny feeling you would have preffered me dead so long ago. Hmmm, I wonder why? ;)

Not surprising a neocon suggests running into a hopeless situation becasue you cannot keep a cool head. Hmmm where have a heard that before? *scratches chin*
