Dumb question: how do you download from newgroups?

in outlook express? Im in the newgroup but i dont know how to download files, never used newsgroups before....all I see is stuff like this:

Most people use Forte' Agent or Free Agent. Much much easier to d/l stuff as you just highlight all the parts of the file you want and say "go".

I have an account at EASYNEWS.COM. That lets you use both a newsreader (such as Forte Agent) and a web-based interface, which is much easier to use than any news reader, IMHO.

Sorry. None that I know of. IMHO, the benefits are well worth it, though.

That is what I have used for years. I love it.

i also have an account at easynews.com. it's $10 a month for 6 gbs. it's great because they keep the last 50 days of posts, and pretty constant speed. you can either use a news program like agent, or use their web browser interface.

you can also get an account at binnews.com for posts, or binnewz.net is free, but less complete.
