dumb question. how do i get items on my desktop to go transparent?

I think he meant with certain %'age of transparency. You need either Win2K or WinXP to do that. But I also think it can be done w/ older OS, probably easier with the help of desktop enhancers like Windows Blind or whatever there is out there (I don't use them so I don't know 😛)
 
I got a program that does this on the DVD that came with my Windows XP Official Magazine. I'll check what it's called after I reinstall Windows.
