Dumb question about excel

This is a dumb question, but i cant figure it out....
Im doing a basic excel spreadsheet and i want to have boxes with text in them that when the text hit the end of the box the writing drops down to the next line of the same box and contiues to write.. make sense? its excel 2000

What if you're typing in a row with 5 cells and you only want the last cell to drop to the first cell on the second row once you've reach the end?

What if you're in the dining room with the candlestick, and you don't want the 4th cell to wrap to the 5th cell, but you want the 3rd cell to wrap to the second cell?

Seriously, any one know how to get the the line to return to the next line once it reaches the end?
