How do you get rid of stuff from your inventory? I filled it up with pistols and cannot pick anything up. I see no option to sell or drop stuff. Anyone?

All I could find was this:

Inventory management has also been altered, and I?m fairly confident it?s for the worse. Pressing the v button brings up a window with another bar next to the left one. In this window you can select items, equip them, drop them, move them to the left hotbar, and install mods in the weapons (improved accuracy, silencer, etc).

So there's an option to drop things... somehow.

Wow, you must have the one system configuration they actually tested on when they ported it from Xbox.

How'd you manage to get it to not run like utter shyte? :p

 I've never played the game, but that seems like something I'd probably miss anyways. :p

No wonder I missed the drop button, it's not there. I have neither the drop nor the back button. I still have no idea how to drop an item and I cannot get any further in the game until I can pick up needed items. Was that screenshot from the X-box version?

IIRC, that was a common bug mentioned on the (now gone) Ion Storm forums. What version are you playing on?

it's been a long time

edit: Specifically: Deus Ex - Invisible War Discussion

i don't have mine . . . did you Read the Manual?

Thanks for the links. I still see no mention of the missing "drop" button, I'll have to keep looking. I want to try the new textures though.

you got me interested in DE-IW again . . . i "only" had a 9800xt at the time and the texture packs were "too much" . . . now that i have an x850xt, i can get the full visuals . . . it's actually worth a replay . . . as i understand it, they were updated last month also.

and i think the MANUAL tells you how to exchange/drop stuff . . . maybe the 'interact' key?

btw, that first level is CRAP . . . it gets really good after awhile . . . hang in there.

Yes, the manual says Tab to drop. It's not in the keyboard config in the options though. Lame port clumbiness.
