I just bought a Visiontek Xtasy 5632 Geforce GTS-V, which came in today. One of my friends gave me input about this question, but I think he's wrong, but I just wanna make sure...

what exactly is fast-write in the bios? and will it increase the speed of my system? should i disable or enable it?

my rig:
amd xp 1800
iwill (forgot the model number; its the one with the IDE Raid support) mobo
ddr 2100 crucial 256 ram.
windowsxp

anything else I should know about this card? I did some research on it about overclockin.... any tips from old geforce2 gts-v owners?

+tHnx

I think it's supposed to give better video card-to-CPU access - faster performance. It can cause instability in some rare cases though. I haven't had a problem with it though in more recent motherboards; yours should be just fine.

You should be able to oc the gts-v to at least regular gts speeds, maybe even faster. I say go for it- its quick, painless, and free.

For 48 bucks or whatever they cost I would oc the f@ck outta that thing. In fact I would mod it meaning throw a diff fan on it or heatsink or whatevr you can. Hell I wouldnt mind doin that my self with my other pc. I might order a new card for cheap to do that. I'll let ya know.

Fast Writes is actually AGP 4X's specifications. However, currently no graphics card can take advantage of going from AGP 2x to 4X. I also heard that the new Geforce 2 GTS-V are the new revision C which have a faster 5.5ns access time. That means the card should have no problem hitting 366MHz.
