Dumb Instant Copy Question

I have read over Doom9 forums, and tried DVD Decrypter in both File mode and ISO. I open Instant Copy and point to the appropriate directory, but it does not recognize any file formats. I see the .IFO and .VOB's along with the .ISO.

What am I missing? I tried installing Daemon Tools but I get a friggin BSOD in the middle of the install, so I can't do it that way.

Thanks.

Use file mode. Then after it is ripped you need to choose the VIDEO_TS.ifo from within Instantcopy.

Make sure you also have the updates from Pinnacle for InstantCopy. It fixes some issues of compatibility. The updated version now removes the layer change and adds an AUDIO_TS folder on the root of the dvd to be compatable with more standalone dvd players.

Thanks Codewiz. When I went to the directory, IC did not list the file, but I will check again when I get home.

I think I just selected the main movie. Would that be the problem?

Well it shouldn't have been a problem since the main movie would still have an IFO for the main movie to pick. If you still have problems take some screen caps and stuff so many we can solve the problem. My only disappointment with Instantcopy is it's prediction of compressed sizes because on average it leaves around 300MB unusued which could signnificatly increase the picture quality.
