Dumb CD burning question

I just copied a web site to CD. How do I make it so that the files are not read only? I'm using Nero 5.5

They are read only because they're on a CD. If you copy them to your HD and would like to change the permissions, you can do that.

hmm that's kind of what I thought and I know it's no big deal to select all and change the permissions of all. Hypothetically what if you had tons and tons of files and some were ead only and some weren't... there's no way to preserve the file permissions on stuff burnt to CD? That seems kind of silly...

Think of it, once you burn a CD it's etched in stone, therefore it's "read only" (you can't modify a file that *can't* be changed, get it?).
