Dumb ?, but how do I extract to game directory?

I am trying to do this:
* Install the game - Full Installation.
* Apply the official Painkiller v1.6.1 Patch.
* Extract the PATCH.EXE Patch from the File Archive to the game directory.
* Execute the Patch to remove the CD-Check from: PAINKILLER.EXE
* Play the Game!
Where is the games directory? I know I'm retarded but please help. When I open winzip and push extract where do I want it to go is what i'm asking.

My PainKiller game directory is d:\Program Files\DreamCatcher\Painkiller. I imagine yours must be similar.
