I don't understand, is that an auction to win the right to pay full price for the car? So essentially you're paying double?

If you are the lucky person to have your bid accepted, you will be purchasing this vehicle for MSRP, plus any required fees, such as for taxes, license and or registration.

WTF? How can that override the bid? The bid's at $80K, the MSRP is $93K.....they can't do that, can they?

I wouldn't feel comfortable bidding that much money through E-bay with a seller without ANY feedback.

EDIT: OMG, didn't read the fine print ... lmao.

I ALSO HAVE A 2004 SL55 BLACK FULLY LOADED THAT MAY BE AVAILABLE WHEN IT ARRIVES IN JANUARY 2004, IF I DECIDE TO KEEP THE E55

So he's also reserving the right to not sell the vehicle at all? Is that legal?

AND that's not even the car that they will be buying.

it's some random pics he took at an MB dealership.

I don't see why not; it's clear enough what he's selling. I remember a story from when the PS2 was first released that someone sold the box and receipt on eBay with some clever wording (COMPLETE WITH BOX AND RECEIPT) but it was clear on full reading that he was only selling the box and receipt and not the system.

There were bids for the going prices of PS2, like $300 or $400. Idiots abound!

hmm doubt it.

The auction clearly states that this is for the chance to buy the car at MSRP. there is no lieing or double talk.

actually someone might be dumb enough to do it. but when buying a vehicle for 90+k then you think they would read everything.

I'm almost considering bidding some outrageous amount, just to save those people from doing something stupid.

But then aain, it may be more fun to see what happens!
