Didn't know the Mercury Topaz was 14 feet long.

But yeah... you probably should've let her smash it and gotten a new car with the insurance money.

Nitemare, maybe 😉

Problem is insurance would probably give me a pittance compared to what it's worth...
that and the chances of finding another car that runs < 16 second 1/4 miles for even $2000cad etest and certified.... rather small.

Please do NOT move to a major city. Stuff like that happens about 5 times a day. I don't even notice it anymore and swerving at high speed around some clown invading your lane is SOP.

Good job on dramatizing how you took your foot off the gas, though.

I drove around downtown Toronto for 3hrs yesterday and didn't encounter anybody as blind as this. Of course there were a few sh1tty drivers, as expected, but nothing as bad as this.

Viperoni:

If she pulled it in front of you(she had a stop, you didn't), wouldn't this make the accident HER fault? Thus, it would be HER insurance that increased, not yours. Insurance companies want to know about AT FAULT accidents.

That would not stop them from raising your premium.
