'you've been faking for 20 years and it's all for a gag? THAT'S AWESOME!' just doesn't work as well as 'Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!' :awe:
 
Jim Carrey still has it... not so sure about Jeff Daniels. Either way I'm sure I'll see it, the original is my favorite comedy.
 
Looks terrible. I'd rather not revisit the original, to compare, in case that's actually terrible as well when you're not, like, 13 anymore.
 
Why do they have to do the gnarly sexual crap. The scene with him riding Jeff Daniels on the bike is just awkward when you're watching with family in the theater. Then the scene with the old lady getting the hand-job from Jim Carrey is just gross &, again, a seat-squirmer when you're sitting in a theater full of family. There's other ways to do it, ya don't have to go for the 90year old vagina to get the laughs! 🙄

Still, it's Jim Carrey & at least he hasn't reached for TV yet like the other half of Hollywood big-screen stars have.
 
Dumb and Dumber came out in 1994 I think. This would have made sense in 2004. It's now 2014. No. Looks stupid. Jeff Daniels just looks old. Some of the scenes now look creepy.
 
Nowadays most people wont even get the irony of the To in the title. The words "too", "two", and "to" have been lost forever, all replaced by "to".
 
First bit in the wheelchair had me rolling--rest...meh. I don't know, looks like the exact same gags and just pushing it up another level, as the Farrelys are wont to do.

the first was a product of its time and culture. This is looking back and I feel it won't be as resonant
