Out of curiosity, how many times has your ranking system properly picked the winner in Ohio State games the past two years ? It must be a very high error rate.

I created a new optimization and will create a new thread in a few minutes. I think you'll like it more.

Ohio State has rarely played teams ranked higher than itself in the past couple of years (you can say the same thing about the top 10 teams, there just isn't much chance that you played many of the teams higher than you since there aren't many teams higher than you). So of course it predicted Ohio States wins most of the time. My computer, like everyone elses did predict Miami to win the national championship last year, and Ohio State won in overtime. So no it isn't perfect. 🙂
