Duke Nukem Forever.

I just read a short interview over at STOMPED.com with Scott Miller (05 Dec). It looks like mid 2001 is the best estimate for a release date.

I cannot believe how long this project is taking. It must be about the 3rd year of development now, so it will be about 4-5 years in the making! I remember when they switched to the Unreal game engine and I was thinking it would be state of the art technology, but by the time it's released the engine will be old!

After seeing Daikatana i'm not holding my breath. Then again, Deus Ex was built on an old engine and rocked

Duke will rock! Old engine or not, 3dlabs have modified it lots. Besides, the Unreal engine is still one of the best out. This game though will be hella fun, so much so that it would be great on the Doom engine.

Duke will rock again regardless of the engine. Remember, Soldier of Fortune used the Quake 2 engine and rocked!

I must admit that I'm a bit "scared" for the outcome. Games that come out too late generally suck (Daikatana, DiabloII, ...).

But, I guess the atmosphere will be the most important aspect of this game. Remember in it's time that Duke3D had an extremely inferior engine then Quake1, but people still played Duke a lot more then they played Quake.

Hehe, /me remembers the days of playing Duke3D on his old Pentium60. "Nobody steals our chicks ... and lives". Hehe, cool 😀

Duke rocks!!!!

Im gonna kick ASS and chew bubble gum.... and Im all out of gum

Duke rocks!!!!
