Its not going to come out. They will see the new Unreal engine and change again. Then, a new engine will come out when they are about to be finished and they will change to it. It will be a never ending cycle! 😀

"Coming "When it's done" from 3D Realms for the PC."

I love their attitude. Let's piss off every hardcore DN fan out there, make them wait for a game that very possibly will never be finished, and tell them that we'll finish when we feel like it.

This is why I stopped caring about 2 years ago.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

*gasp*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Call me when it goes gold. I'll be in the retirement home playing shuffleboard and eating pudding, so you may just want to leave a message.

are the changes in Engines so far, I believe.
Where did you get this crap from?

They went from Quake2 to Unreal. Since then they've been revamping the Unreal engine to suit their needs. Supposedly it's almost a new renderer.

Prey is being developed on the Doom3 engine, though. If anybody has information about an engine switch since Unreal, feel free to provide some links.

Yup, still using the Unreal Engine for D4E. Prey is what's using the Doom3 engine.

So to cap what 3DRealms have done during D4E's developement: Max Payne(they sold the License of Max Payne for $35million, hence Max Payne 2 wasn't their work), the side scrolling Duke Nukem game(don't recall name), and they are currently working on Prey and D4E simultaneously. They've been busy and their track record for great games is solid. D4E will be a sensation, you'll all see. 😉
Remedy developed Max Payne, 3D Realms and Rockstar produced it (Rockstar did additional production, 3D Realms couldn't do enough alone 😛 They suck 😉), Take 2 and GOD co-published it.

hasnt pc gamer been saying next year for the past what, 5 years after seeing some demo or talking with some devs

either that 😉 means you are being sarcastic, or you are one of the biggest DN fanbois I've encountered yet. 😉

This game and its delays were the subject of endless mockery FIVE YEARS AGO!!! John Carmack has singlehandedly produced the Quake 2, Quake 3, and Doom 3 engines since DNF has ostensibly been in development.

For my part, I loved DN3D, and will be happy to give DNF a fair shake when/if it comes out. That said, endless delay is almost never a good thing (although it was in the case of the original Half-Life), and God knows what we'll get with DNF.
