not sure if I should ask what that is or that the game has DLC for multiplayer.

The demo is out for First Access Club people. Have to go to the site to get the code for Steam.
Well, I managed to finally load the page and fill out the form for my demo key. I'm just waiting for the email now. It's taking a while though. :(

It is being pounded hard.
That's what she said.

Edit: Oh, I got it. The Steam code was right on the website. Derp derp. Downloading now.

Brings back memories of the first time I picked up the demo for Duke Nukem 3D - or so I thought. Despite the fact the magazine it was attached to screamed that it was right there on the disk, after booting up my pc and sticking it in with fervor, I couldn't find it for the life of me! I must have searched for around 30 minutes in disbelief. They must have had to pull it at the last minute or something as there was an unmentioned top-down chopper game on there instead (the name of which escapes me).

Was completely and utterly gutted by that.

ok played the demo for a bit :D

Single Player only. Two levels, well really one boss fight and a lvl but the lvl they give you, you drive your monster truck and then go on foot. They gave you a tiny taste of what you can do.

It was fun, very Duke and old school with just killing shit.

It looked pretty good too fully cranked up, it was smooth as can be for me and I have 2 Eve online clients running atm too.

I enjoyed it quite a bit overall.

Short demo, but it's definitely Duke. I don't think that it's convinced me enough to pick it up, though.

One thing that really irritated me was only being able to carry 2 guns - it's Duke Nukem ffs. I also felt some of the interactive bits were sort of unnecessary.

The two weapon thing was really my own complaint. It felt weird being limited to two of them. But the weapons themselves are pretty cool, the shrink ray was pretty fun to mess with. I think I might preorder it over at D2D since it is a Steam game, using a 15% off coupon on top of the 10% discount for the preorder the game is $38 and some change. Plus I have like $45 in credit at D2D lol.

I liked how when you walked into the room with the police/guards and they are around the dry erase board and the boss is going down the numbers and is like 3, uhhhh and the other guy goes, profit? hahahha Then you can draw on the board too and the guard is like holy shit.

It felt like a pretty generic shooter :/ Some of the stuff Duke says is pretty funny and the weapons definitely feel good, but still... after 12 years? lol. Graphics weren't that impressive either.

Downloading now! Thanks for the heads up! :D

EDIT: Display driver crashes all the time on the second level. After two or three times, the game crashes too :( Running the newest Catalyst drivers.

Guys, seriously, this game does NOT have 12 years of development behind it.
The IP was purchased recently and they shat out a game quickly.
Keep it in perspective.

Tells you how much 12 years of development effort gets you!

Am I dreaming? Am I "really" downloading the duke nukem forever demo?

I never thought this day would get here. After 12+ years of hype and waiting, the demo is finally downloading.

Depending how how good the demo is, that defines whether I prepurchase. I have been putting off buying because I wanted to see the demo first.
