Not sure if this has been posted, but this website has some funny facts about stuff that has happened since the announcement of duke nukem forever, and things that have take less time to do.

Here are some of my favorites:

-Since Duke Nukem was announced -

The complete Grand Theft Auto and The Sims series have been released

In 1997, the fastest consumer internet connection was a 33.6 kbps modem. On average, consumer internet connections are 300 times faster today.

Every GeForce and Radeon graphics card have been released

All three Star Wars prequels

Bill Clinton finished his presidential term, George W. Bush was elected and re-elected

The Voyager 1 spacecraft has travelled 8.8 billion miles from Earth

Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France 7 consecutive years

- Things that have taken less time -

Led Zeppelin released 7 albums, 9 singles, and toured around the world, crossing international borders 27 times

The United States' entire program to put a man on the moon, from Kennedy's challenge to the landing

World War II and the entire Manhattan Project. Yes, even the complete development of the atomic bomb took less time

I saw another similar list that had the number of games in other series that had been released since Duke Nukem Forever was announced, and it was some absurd number of Mega Man games I think. It was over 50 IIRC, but I think that included re-releases of older games on newer platforms.

The footage that came out the other day looked good to me - I loved the original game and will want to play this as well. It's definitely been a long, bumpy ride, though.
