Duh, Need Help re CPU pricing question?

Okay the Athlon 1.4 ghz 266 FSB is $119 (on pricewatch)

the XP 1500 is $112 and the XP 1600 is $122

Why this price difference?
Don't these fit in the same socket?
Does the Athlon have a faster FSB?

Supply and demand. There's a shortage of the 1.4Ghz Tbird right now.

The Palomino (XP) runs cooler, uses less power if I'm not mistaken, and has hardware prefetch. Both are on a 266FSB etc... The XP-1500 is 1.33GHz and the XP-1600 is 1.4GHz.

I don't know about the price difference, but jump on it.
