one wonders, how popping 19 kids out of what probably looks like a deflated canoe can make you famous?

Someone needs to tell her that it's a vagina, not a clown car. As far as the show goes, keep it on TV so their supporters can keep them off of welfare. They say that he made a "mistake"...lol!

What was his mistake, getting caught?

These forums have taught me one thing about religious people behaving badly: all Christians are child molesters.

Thank you for showing me the light, Righties.

If I recall correctly, she admitted to inspecting her one-year-old sister's vagina when she was seven-years-old herself and then ran to get her mother because her sister had shoved a bunch of gravel up there. That's hardly sexual molestation; that's a curious child behaving inappropriately without understanding the sexual implications behind what she was doing. She was seven, for God's sake

in part i would agree with you except for the fact they found pebbles put in the 1 yr old's vagina. There is NO way the 1 yr old could do that herself. I think that part crosses the line.

as for the rest of the accusations against her for abuse they are insane. masturbating? and kissing her sister? idiotic.

concerning the duggers? who gives a shit. I just hope the kid and his sisters have received counseling on it.

This was 12 years ago? He was 14 and 15? Sounds like bullshit to me. I think it was consensual on both sides. It doesn't have any bearing on the show now, and like always people blow shit out of proportion. Without hard facts of what actually happen, this is just a stupid attention whore move.

And the show seems stupid, I didn't even know it existed.

Your words were:

"I never said Duggar should be defended, in fact, I think both Duggar and Dunham should be treated the exact same way. Shows removed, exiled from public life."

If you think that they should be treated the same way you must find some equivalence between the two situations.

So, "When and how did she molest her sister and how is what happened comparable to what the Duggar boy did to at least 5 girls?"

Ok ok, I get it. 5 molestations is a tragedy, one molestation by a liberal feminist is a statistic. Got it.

Ohh, and lets not forget the fake rape.

Her career was made through this liberal feminist victimization bullshit when she, herself, was the predator in many ways. That either should be excused is asinine.

It will quietly disapear like the Honey Boo boo show did.

sadly honey boo boo has not quitly gone away. they are threatening to sue. Since the duggers had actual molestation from one of the main people and her show just had her hooking up with a pedo.

personally they all can go away. no need to have child molesters on tv

I had no idea they were still on TV.

People who watch reality TV are a special brand of stupid.

Meh, sure they can stay on TV. If enough people hate them for this, they will show it by not watching. Personally I feel like there are few better showcases for the hypocrisy of fundamentalist movements than having a weekly (or whatever) show that reminds everyone how horrible these people are.

I used to watch Pawn Stars if I was surfing for something while cooking. I remember watching the first season of American Choppers when I was younger, but quickly lost interest when they got away from the mechanics and into the drama. I also watched a bit of the first season of that Sea Shepard show, but absolutely nothing ever happened so I quit.

If I wanted the same caliber of entertainment that TLC shows these days, I'd just drive down to the local antique store and hang out.

OH WAIT!

I used to watch Deadliest Catch. I stopped when Captain Phil died. When they spread his death into a 4 episode deal, I had enough. It was tasteless and sick.

I think you hit on a good point. I thought the same thing when that Duck Dynasty guy was being chastised by the media. The swamp people are your best friends when they fit the funny stereotypes of the viewers, but when the real sentiment is exposed, those same viewers are horrified. Any half-way sane person would know that an elder from Louisiana may have a racist tilt or at the very least use non-PC words.

I was surprised that so many were upset with the show. It shocked me that people were surprised that a couple southern hard core religious people were anti gay and racist.

You're calling a 4-year-old little girl an attention whore? And you think a child that young can give consent?

Every time I think someone on here can't have a more disgusting opinion than I've already seen we end up with someone saying things like:

"that four year old totally wanted to be molested".

Holy shit, what is wrong with people.

I can't decide if it's ignorance or sociopathy.

Another of them was 8. She was asleep when he messed with her. The youngest was 4 and was sitting on his lap while he read her a story. Makes me nauseous.

That's a little over-the-top, no? I mean, yeah, what he did was wrong, but he was 14 and living in a family that clearly had no approach to teaching their children about sexuality as they went through puberty. He was completely unequipped to handle the feelings he was having as new hormones were coursing through his body. Get him counseling. Death is not justice.

maybe so.

I used to do Foster care. We dealt with young girls who were victims of abuse. it's not a pretty sight. Also a close friend of my daughter was raped by her dad from 6-12. so it kinda hits home.

Filth of the earth. My mom works with children ages 2-4. Sex crimes aren't as uncommon as I'd like to think.
