alright, after a week at camp, and my extremely patchy beard growing to be very ugly...

yep. i need to shave. that's after i just got out of the shower.
anyway, it was 24 miles, not 26, (i was A: stupid, B: misinformed). anyway, i was at Camp Whitsett Sierra. real nice camp. we slept out under the stars, it didnt rain at all... there was a forest fire going on in another part of the valley... i'll post pics later, when i can. after i get them printed... it was too heavy to bring my digital, so i had to bring a 35mm disposable.
the max height we reached was 7000 feet. nice and steep getting up there.. there were 2 big uphills... first one we did all in 1 day, and it came to about 2000 feet. the second one we did over 2 days (not because we couldnt do it in one day, but because there was no water on the other side so we couldnt camp there.)
we hiked about 6 miles right next to the kern river. the day before the backpacking, we went river rafting. our guide was female, pretty good looking, but dumber than a door. she ground us on every single rock in the river. and she nearly flipped our raft. (me and everyone else but her fell out of the boat). we fell into rapids, and i lost my 20 dollar sunglasses, my dumb looking hat, and a 20 dollar bill. oh well. did i mention the guide had a nice butt? anyway, i got to know my bandana real well, as for loss of a hat, i needed something to soak up sweat off my brow. so i looked like a pirate for 4 days. that bandana probably will now have to be bleached.
anyway, that's all i'm willing to tell right now. more later. maybe
oh, and i forgot, half the time, i listened to this psycho kid talking about how he's gonna get a butler and keep him employed with the promise that he might get pennies... (but never actually pay him) this kid is funny as hell to listen to.
and the rest of the time, i listened to them imitating the voice of Duffman in various phrases. the new (well, there never was one before...) crew yell is now "Oh Yeah!" wierd... seriously...
