dues ex.......poor framerate???

yo guys, i've got a problem here...i've installed dues ex on my system and, although the game starts really smooth and seemless, it gets extremely choppy and low-frame rate once the game loads up and starts. is it a driver problem, etc??? i'll appreciate any tips you can throw at me...later.

where's the link to that?...
it could be because deus ex's primary api support is GLIDE, which my geforce2mx does not support, and the d3d support is really poor...well, we'll find out.
