Duel monitor, dvd ?

I have a GF2GTSPRO setup as my first video card primary monitor.
With a visiontek tnt2 vanta pci as the second video card.

If I start Windvd it loads on the primary monitor but if I try to drag it over to the other monitor the picture goes black.

How do I go about getting movie in the second monitor. I would like to work on first monitor and watch movie in the other.

Thanks.

i've noticed that with multi-monitor setups you usually lose all video playback capability on anything except the main screen. i think it has to do with windows, but i heard somewhere that certain video cards just won't allow it.

i'm afraid you're most likely out of luck

Windows only supports a video overlay on the primary display, so you can't do what you are asking. Why can't you let the DVD run on the main display and work on the other one? (Assuming the monitors are the same or similar)

Thanks guys, I was afraid of that.
To answer, 1st monitor directly in front of me 19" flat samsung 955, 2nd monitor 17" 7 year old nec 5fge and set off to the side. It was just a little awkward to work off to the side while movie was right in front of me. Makes the movie look great though. I guess I could rearang things
but want to keep the best video card and best monitor tied together.

Better to have all these options than none at all, thanks again.
