dudes do fake kidnappings, piss off soccer moms

Laughing all the way to the bank you say? I don't think they'd be so happy when they get criminal charges thrown their way or end up getting sued by someone one of these times.

That was just stupid, and their excuse that they were making an "awareness" video doesn't hold any water given that all their videos are pranks. They might be in for a rude awakening.

yeah but they got that female cop on tape at the end admitting she gave them permission, thats gonna make it hard for that department to file charges against them

Absolutely wrong and irresponsible. What would have happened if one of the parents was packing and shot them (or worse, the kid). What if someone jumped on the van to stop them and got hurt/killed? What did they think they would do to the kids playing there and they see some scary man steal one of their playmates?

Morons. You see this kind of stuff happening more and more as the "LOOK AT ME!" generation evolves.

those fuckers should be happy spidey wasn't there! 😀

I am no expert in the law, but something tells me they can't just return the child and say "oh, it was just a joke, we were making an awareness video" and not get charged with actual kidnapping.

I mean, what they did pretty much was kidnapping.

I very much doubt that the police would give them permission in any official capacity whatsoever. Many years ago, we tried to implicate our boss in a bank robbery. Everyone was in on it, bank included (April 1 joke). But, while some of the police officers were willing to make the "arrest," the official word was that such an act was far too dangerous - there's no way to make sure every party was aware of what was going on."

In this kidnapping case, what if someone with a concealed carry just happened to be in a good location to observe the events & take out the driver? (Darwin be praised.)

I would have been beyond livid. Actors are in no short supply, they could have easily done this without targeting random strangers to try to depict a realistic response.

LOL I can see some guy being like, "hey I'm going to fake kidnap this kid for 'kidnap awareness week' "but in reality he really does kidnap the child and never comes back. Not that it's actually funny if that happened, but lol @ a cop giving "permission" for a "fake" kidnapping.
