The weather has been pretty terrible the whole week and last night it just let loose. It started off with freezing rain and then turned into snow around 10PM. For a while there it was a blizzard from the snow and 30+mph winds. Anyway, the snow finally stopped today but the winds haven't died down at all. I'd say we got about 4-5 inches of snow total, but the winds make it seem like 2 feet in some areas.

I went out to start my car for work and had trouble pinpointing where it was.

I think it's here

Hmm....maybe not?

Took me about 30 minutes to get the car dug out. Once I got the snow off I had to scrap all the ice off the windows from the damn rain :|

Oh well, just another winter in Minnesota :p

<< damn, try driving the way it is. >>

I seriously thought about it since I didn't want to be late for work.

I would have had to pull an Ace Ventura and stick my head out the window though. It's too damn cold for that.

yzzim=wussie!:D

What's wrong with you! Somebody take his Minnesota license away! When I was your age, my father made me chip open the frozen doors with my finger nails and then made me drive him to work with only a 3"x3" defrosted area to see out of. It's a Minnesota way of life!

LOL

Aceman=old fart!:D

Let me guess, before you could drive you had to walk uphill both ways, in nothing but your loin cloth while watching out for the all-to-often renegade buffalo :D:p

In my 20 years of being a Minnesotan I've never had to dig to find a car before. The wind was just unbearable and made everything so much worse. Would I ever leave Minnesota? Probably not. Just too pretty up here.....sometimes ;)

Too young to remember the Halloween Blizzard of 1991? We had 24-36" of snow and ice over a 24 hour period! With the wind it buried my car 2X over. (Of course it's not hard to do to a Fiero that at the highest sits 42" off the ground.)

Would I leave Minnesota? I can't answer that as I checkout of Minnesota and the damn Army keeps sending me back! This time my career advisor sent me up here 4 years ago. When I asked how long would I be in Minnesota he replied, "You're sentenced for 5 to life." The "warden" hasn't called me to set up a "parole" board yet so it's looking like life!:)

I remember trick-or-treating in the blizzard...I was 10 :D Didn't have to clean my parent's car off though. Just remember running through 12" of snow that seemed to have fallen in a hour.

haha, never heard living in Minnesota be compared to a prison sentence...but I suppose it'll suffice ;):)

Nice snow! :D Had that happen to me in chicago bout 3 years ago, I think there was 24-26 inches of snow in a little over a day. Made the last flight out of the city (back to school) before the airports shut down! :D

It started off with freezing rain and then turned into snow around 10PM. For a while there it was a blizzard from the snow and 30+mph winds

I was near cleveland last night and there were wind gusts of 90 mph, hurricane force. There was supposed to be 5-6 inches of lake effect snow, but it never came. Thank god, that would have been terrible! :Q

Its funny trying to walk in those kinds of winds, make you feel like you are walking slow-motion. :D
