Duct Tape and 92mm Fan...

I just recently added an 92mm fan to my Enlight 7237 which only takes 80mm fans. Instead I used duct tape and taped my 92mm to the side of my case and tailed it so it would fit on my mobo. Now I was wondering if anyone had done this and if you do an OK job, about how long will the duct tape hold before the fan falls off. BTW, the fan is set to suck air out of the fan and is rated at 38 cfm. I'm worried about this because if the fan fell off, it wouldn't get detached from the power and continue running while it smashes into my GF3...

i've got one 80mm thats been taped on a side cover , just fine for 2 years.
its a great way to place fans when the mounting just isn't there, and you don't want to do much work on the case.

Hi Neutralizer,

So you put a 92mm fan on the back cooling place. I put a Panaflo there (80mm), and you should be thankful that you put a 92mm there...because the Panaflo cooled my ambient by a whopping...2ºC, and now my case is quite loud! (Yes, using 3 Panaflos in one system contrubutes quite a bit of noise, actually) :Q

As to the tape problem, drill a hole to fit the 92mm; I used some of my own screws to attach the L1A on the back of my case.
