Ducky Shine: Does it have media key issues?

So, for various reasons beyond the scope of this thread, I'm thinking about snagging a Ducky Shine (Shining?) keyboard.

However, I've seen spotty and vague reports that the media keys on it don't work properly with Foobar2000 and iTunes when the media application in question isn't the active window.

Can anyone shed some light on the truth to these reports, and if true, the possibility of a workaround?
