'Tricked the world' is a bit generous.

'Idiots pretenting to be other idiots and I still don't give a fuck' would be more accurate.

So you think their beards and hair are fake? And also that 2/4 men pictured aged 40 years in about 18?

Sadly, I showed this to my wife...she doesn't believe it.

"But those are old pictures. Their kids are MUCH older on the show."

Their name is being marketed so wrong, it's just ridiculous. They sell everything, from birthday cards to wines, and you want to tell me they're serious about being a real show about a family? Bullshit.

This isn't news

I'm not sure why the page says things like: "As a result, without a name attached to such leaked information, many of these claims of inauthenticity are seen as lacking credibility." Jep himself and his wife have already talked about how it's not really a live show. I don't understand why everybody feels like they have to pick apart what's popular. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Why be bitter about it?

I like the show. From the beginning I thought of it as nothing more than a sitcom. It makes me laugh, and that's all I want out of a TV show.

They make damn good duck calls regardless. Can't beat the price and duck is delicious.

Nothing original about the concept of the show, at all. Duck Dynasty is just a mishmash rehash of the same stupid crap that started in 2009 with a different producer and network. I mean give me a break, 5 seasons in barely 2 YEARS???

Season Episodes Originally aired:

1 15 March 21, 2012- May 23, 2012

2 13 October 10, 2012- December 5, 2012

3 13 February 27, 2013- April 24, 2013

4 11 August 14, 2013- December 11, 2013

5 10 January 15, 2014-

Duck Dynasty is an American reality television series on A&E that portrays the lives of the Robertson family, who became wealthy from their family-operated business, Duck Commander. The West Monroe, Louisiana business makes products for duck hunters, primarily a duck call called Duck Commander. The Robertson men—brothers Phil and Si, and Phil's sons Jase, Willie, and Jep—are known for their long beards and their religious views.[1] The family was previously featured on the series Benelli Presents Duck Commander and its spin-off Buck Commander, which still airs on the Outdoor Channel.[2]

All they are is a money making merchandising machine, with most of their branded crap being made in China. They are laughing all the way to the bank at all the stupid people making them rich every time another Chia or bobble head is sold and they get their cut. They are mass media prostitutes. It sure looks to me like the duck call business isn't doing as well as they brag and boast about, or they wouldn't be selling out their privacy and their dignity in every possible way imaginable.

And would I do it too if I found a bunch of drooling red necked suckers willing to give me dump trucks full of money for being a talentless hack on TV? Hells yes I would, so where do I sign up???

It's fine you like the show for a laugh, but are you laughing AT them, or WITH them? I bet most people watching are laughing AT them, just like when they watch Jerry Springer or Honey Poo Poo.

Now now, it's not ALL fake. I'm willing to bet that the people who watch the show are every bit as genuinely stupid as most people assume them to be.

Duh.

Got some examples? I am curious.

There has been quite a few over the years, most of them are the likes of paranormal stuff...A haunting, there was even one made just before the theatrical release of The blair witch project where they had some professor talk about how him and his students found the videos..etc and made an entire hour long documentary about it just to make the movie seem more real I guess. Several documentaries on cryptids and Aliens that were completely scripted...Just dumb crap like that. The real truth is often hidden in the credits and some networks try to scroll through them really fast or tilt them back to show what's coming on next.

Other documentaries aren't so much scripted fakery but rather they purposefully try to allude you to a specific conclusion...like murder type documentaries yet they offer no real evidence. Ancient Aliens is another show where all they do is try to imply with circumstantial evidence when historians have written records showing otherwise.

Shark week has also been claimed as a "mockumentary" as well...I never would have guessed they would hit Shark week with fakery too. http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57...how-gets-panned-for-being-a-fake-documentary/

Don't trust anything on Discovery. Personally I don't trust anything on TV period.
In fact, rather than real footage or actual scientists, Discovery apparently fabricated its Megalodon "evidence" and had actors play the "scientists" interviewed for the show

Ah, stuff like that. Those are usually pretty obvious to me. I was thinking there was something out there that looked super legit even to a skeptic and then was complete bullshit.
