DUCATI ANNOUNCES THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION ?DESIGN YOUR DREAM DUCATI?
Our panel of judges has just announced the winners of Design Your Dream Ducati, the competition launched one year ago to offer all enthusiasts of the marque the chance to submit their own interpretation of the Ducati bike of the future.
Bologna, April 2004 - Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. (NYSE: DMH, Borsa Italiana S.p.A. DMH), the motorcycle manufacturer, is proud to announce the winners of ?Design Your Dream Ducati? , the first ever national competition dedicated to the passion, talent and imagination of Ducati fans all over the world.

The overall winners of the two categorise ?bike? and ?non bike? are:

Bike ? ?Flat Red? by Jems Von Brauck

Non bike ? ?Artificial Heart?, by Steve Gummer, a small, strong, lightweight, highly tuned and perfectly engineered artificial organ built around Ducati?s desmodromic system, capable of exhilarating performance.

The jury, made up of Decio Carugati, journalist and design expert, as well as Miguel Sal, head of one of the most important Italian advertising agency, also awarded prizes in the categories listed below with their respective winners:

Ducati Corse Special Prize: ?Ducati 1000 UL?, by Paolo De Giusti

Design Special Prize: ?Ducati Arc? , by Gerard Baten

Ducati.com Special Prize: ?Velocità Coffee Maker?, di Garry Sammons

Chairman Special Prize: ?S2 Braida?, by Paolo Tesio

Press Special Prize: ?CD Player?, by Federico Verardi

Ducati Finance Special Prize: ?Cucciolo 03?, by Fabian Eilingsfeld

Creativity Special Prize: ?Bilancia Ducati?, by Federico Verardi

Ducati Performance Special prize: ?Shoes for Ducati Ladies?, by Richard Pfeiffer

Ducati R&D Special Prize: ? Ducati Roadster?, by Massimo Zaniboni

The CD player in particular is really cool IMO. Gotta love the gas cap motif. :D

Doh...sorry. I'm totally sleep-deprived since my daughter has decided screaming all night is the hip thing to do these days.
