Easton is a weird place.
It's really nice, but 50% ghetto people.

That's because of the makeup of the area right by Easton. You have really nice areas like Gahanna(where I live), Bexley, and New Albany surrounded by really crappy suburban slums(Morse Road past Easton, any side of Bexley, etc). Bexley is the biggest example of this, as in some parts of Bexley you can have a multimillion dollar home less than half a mile away from the Ghetto.

Columbus is weird in that poverty is mostly mixed in within the city. You have pockets of bad areas, but really huge bad areas like Franklinton are more of an exception rather than the rule.
Definitely... I used to live next to Bexley... in the ghetto.
I told people I lived in Bexley. :)
They knew I was lying, because I'm not Jewish.

same.

Dunno if you've been back now, but they built a mini mall of sorts apts/shops on the opposite side of the street. Dublin is just your typical expensive suburb for the most part...

For things to do read

columbus alive

its been a long since I've been down that way. Hoping to catch an OSU game this fall:thumbsup:

You should stop by sometime if you can. The redeveloped creekside is really nice, with wide range of great resterants.

As for OSU football, I Just got my student tickets. I'm hopping to sell my tickets for the osu vs michigan game for quite a bit this year.

Hey, you don't have to be Jewish to live in Bexley. It's pure coincidence that I just happened to be Jewish and live in Bexley for about 3-4 years :p

The one thing I really miss about not living in Bexley is the library. That library was sweet, with a great collection of books, dvds, and cds. DVD rentals are free as well. The Gahanna "library" is just so terrible in comparison.

I grew up on the Ohio River and my wife grew up in Florida. We both went to Auburn and then lived in Birminham. According to my wife this is by far her favorite place she's lived (we live in Pickerington).

Actually, great time to visit. The Great Ohio State fair just started. Fair Info. I'm close to Polaris area. I checked the clippers and crew games are all away. Clippers is baseball and Crew is soccer.

You'll be close to Columbus. If you like steak, there is a fantastic steakhouse in downtown Columbus called Mitchell's. If you're on an expense account, it's worth trying. :)

First thing you always do when you visit the lower Ohio area:

Locate Skyline Chili.

3-Way and a Cheese Coney, PLZ.

seems that everything to do in dublin is not in dublin... spent many moons there @ nationwide and cardinal and verizon as i recall... i can't recall ever doing anything interesting there after hours, tho... i think we cut work and went to a ballgame once...

had one of my weirdest dining experiences at the pfchangs in the neighborhood... all really young looking staff (manager included) and i was looking for the tv cameras because they were bringing everyone the wrong food after taking forever to serve...

i travel a lot and eat out a lot... my motto on dining out is "it was great... they didn't spill anything on me" so i was merely amused...

but the food was good... i never figured out what it was i ended up with...

Man, we were in Columbus and went to a Blue Jackets game. Grabbed some nachos from Skyline and they were horrible.

Ughh, I'm from Northern Ohio and we cant really understand wtf is up with everyone from Columbus to Cincy all brainwashed thinking this skyline place has awesome food. Tried the one in Cincy that everyone said was a must-do while there, about died it was so bad. Then a few years later decided to give them another shot at on in C-bus.... another near fatal incident.

Maybe those of us who grew up in Toledo are just spoiled having gotten to eat from the mecca of all coney island type restuarants... Tony Packo's

Next time follow Injury's advice - 3, 4 or 5 way and a coney. That used to be all they had but were bought out by a corporation in the 90s and have been confusing people with additional menu items ever since. It's great fast food - a little better than white castle.

There's a pizza place near osu called tommy's. Not spectacular, but I always liked it. I imagine high street in front of osu is still a zoo. The greek restaurant on high and 17th? might still be there.

In my experience, downtown columbus is not that exciting - but it is expensive.
