Dualshock 2 Adaptor for the PS3

Has anyone tried out the DS2 Adapter for the PS3? I'm asking because I only have 1 DS3 while I have 2 DS2's begging to get used. And in multi player situations, it would be nice to be able to use my DS2's without having to fork over 55 bucks for another DS3. (Acronyms Suck)

How do they work for games like Motorstorm and other 2 player games

I have an adapter from radio shack. It was sold as a PC adapter, came out long before the PS3 was ever heard of. Works great, although you need to keep in mind games that rely on the sixaxis won't be able to. Also, I don't get any rumble out of mine.

most ps2 -> usb adapters work fine on ps3.

i have heard though that some adapters don't work properly for some joysticks and 3rd party controllers, but those probably didn't work on PC either.

You may experience a slight lag. It shouldn't bother you or be very noticeable for most game types.

Most adapters run $15-$20? For another $20 (skip lunches if you have to), just wait for a sale on the DS3. Newegg is currently $43 with FS. Buy.com will sometimes go down to $35. You might be happier in the long run with the durability, wireless and rumble.
