Duall PII's w/ WinXP Pro ver2600 and MSI-6114

Help,

I do not understand Y this is...

I have a
MSI6114 Mobo BIOS upgraded to ver2.0
WinXP Pro 2600
The dipswitches are set to 333MhZ
ProCs
1. PII 333
2. PII 266 (this ran fine before, so it's not an issue w/ the mobo)

upon an earlier installation of Win2K Pro I encountered a Blue Screen informing me that it could not support SMP, which i knew was wrong b/c Pro was built to support duals. However, I acquiesed and took one of the ProC's out. Upon reboot the win2k install went smoothly. The new MSDN subcription came a back in Nov or something and had the XP final in it...so I figured for sure that would werk on this baby...nope. I was met w/ the same blue screen which had previously prevented me from installing win2k on the dualleys. However, this encounter was like this: upon startup it would go through the boot from ide0 and then go through the white bar across the bottom L>R then it would hit that blue screen for a split second and restart itself ( I have the reboot on error turned off too) So, I know that it's that error again...and that's frustrating...NE one got NE ideas? I've posted in the m$ newsgroup under hardware and haven't got much help...and now that i finally figured out how to "h@ck" my way N2 this forum ( i had to use a pop mail acnt =] ) I can finally ask some knowledgable ppl! 🙂 I've envied this forum and it's members ability to post for the past two months...and FINALLY i figured out how to get in! 🙂 hehehe...man...i've blown so much money on that hot deals forum 🙂 ha! ahh well...I'm still married...so I'll take it easy for a while...

well...that looks to be a nice long post while I'm writing it...full of 1/2 useful information that will hopefully help U gurus in troublshooting my stinking enigma!

Post your question in either Motherboards, Distrubted Computing, or General Hardware. While you are at it get matching speed processors.
