What's the best Dual MP board out now?

Any issues you've had with the board? I'm looking to build a dual MP 2000+ board to use mainly for Folding, but some gaming as well.

I'm also going to include 9500Pro
1 GB of Ram
Linksys Nic
400 Watt HEC

Just looking for real user opinions. Leaning towards the A7N board from Asus. I've had good luck with Asus boards, but this one seems to be a little "older" to me.

Thanks Guys.

MSI K7D-Master-L. Stable as a rock! This board is rock solid and quite fast under 2k/XP, Linux.

I've got a Tyan Tiger MPX-4M here. I currently multi-boot between:

MS Windows Server 2003 RC2
MS Windows XP Pro
MS Windows 2000 Pro
MS Windows Millennium
Knoppix Linux (turned Debian 3+ once installed on the hard drive)
FreeBSD 5.0
BeOS MAX 2.1

I also have QNX 6.2 which will run of the CD. It isn't compatible with my Promise U100TX2 controller, so I can't run it off the hard drive.

While this board isn't 100% perfect, I think I've just demonstrated some of its flexibility.

Hang out at forums.2cpu.com => Motherboards for a little while.

? I don't follow. How is running multiple OS's on one system a unique function of the Tyan board? Isn't OS compatability a function of the chipset? Considering all the AMD SMP boards use the MPX chipset except the older Tyan boards, I don't see where the Tyan board has any advantage there. I don't think you can really go wrong with any of the SMP boards, they're all pretty similar give or take a few features. I'd compare features and see what you need/don't need (onboard LAN, ATA RAID, etc...), then choose from price there.

I dont think you could go wrong with any of the Dual AMD boards out there. They all seem to be of high quality and high performance.

Pariah, I had no intent on implying that my Tyan is much better than any other SMP Athlon solution. However, this board has pretty much handled everything that I've thrown at it ... and I think I throw more at one PC than most folks, in terms of operating systems.

I tried the Chaintech 7kdd and it didn't work. I don't know if it was user error, but I kept getting memory beeps. I got the ram from Crucial on their 7kdd page. The manual was rather worthless, it just circled a general area of the board and said that 6 jumpers were there. I would have ordered the MSI board, but it was out of stock.
