Dualhead + KVM switch. Best setup?

I'm thinking about getting myself a nice new Matrox G450 card and a new monitor (19&quot😉. Since the Matrox G450 card has Dualhead technology, I though it might be nice to use it with my current monitor and the new one.

Point is that I'm using a KVM switch. I assume that you can connect one monitor to the KVM switch and one directly the Matrox card, but I want to make sure this works before I try it 😉

Thanks 🙂

You CAN do that but there is no reason to.. Go to Matrox'site and download the eDualHead program...It gives you full control of everything....It's a little hard to find on their site.
Also...their forums are monitored by their tech guys during the day. Take advantage of it...they're good guys.

I think you misunderstood my question. I'm only talking about the best way to connect two monitors to a G450 card if one monitor is connected to a KVM switch.

Should work with the KVM. You just have to keep a mental record of which displays are on the KVM.

I've been thinking of how I would do the same thing. I'd put the second monitor on the KVM, thus giving me access to both primary displays on different systems, if I needed them. The OS nor the hardware should even care.
