I believe so, yeah. Isn't dvd-audio just 5.1?

No.

DVD-A is PCM audio up to 24 bit / 192 KHz. It can be 5.1 (and frequently is) but that is not the deciding factor.

Many albums have been released with Dolby/DTS tracks, but this is not DVD-A.

A quick look at Amazon's product page & I'm 99% sure it's not DVD-A.

Viper GTS

I got the Donnas Dual Disc- awesome stuff.

Unfortunately, one of the cd tracks is messed up so I had to download it.

They were featured on a Sony commercial for Connect recently, right?

Is the DVD side DVD-Audio?

No. DVD-A can be stereo only.

Since when?😕

If I'm reading him correctly I think he means that it can be 5.1 or stereo only.

Or maybe he means that DVD-A only accepts Stereo pairs....and muxes them in to a 5.1 output.....

Or maybe he was jsut wrong😛

As it turns out, maybe he was talking about using 192khz frequency ranges..then yes, he is right, only 1 2 channel group😛

I meant that DVD-A doesn't necessarily have to be 5.1. Did I say something wrong? 😕

People like to jump on others when they think they're wrong. I read it to mean what you intended.
