just installed vista 64 bit dual booting w/ xp. do i have to reinstall all my programs for the vista partition? I have alot of programs that are on other hard drives. for example, my games are on my raptor HD and on a seprate partition. is there a way i can have both OS's run the game from the same directory?

Games tend to write a lot of registry entries during installation. You can try to run them as-is, but you may have to install them in the same location twice (once on each OS) to get it to set up correctly.

No, you do not have to re-install all programs.
Many games do not need to be re-installed.

Sometimes, you need to know how to sort out the saved games folder.

The only games I would just re-install to avoid wasting time would be Halo and Halo 2.
Similarly, Microsoft Office needs to be re-installed. But, not re-activated if you don't want to.
