Hi All,
I have two 2200 XPM 35 watt cpu's. I am now running a 2500 xpm @ 2.2 Gig @ ( actual).
I was going to sell it and try for a A64 ( have no idea what config ). was considering the 223 special from new egg, then unloading the baord going with the chaintech value 250 chip set
Started reading a thread about a dual setup ( use to have am old celly one ). Now I'm seriously considering going that route. I want to play a few shoot-em-uppers and flight sims, other than that just browse the web, talk to friends.
Which do the experts think would be better, dual mobile 2200's or A64.
All advice and opinions are more than welcome and truly appreciated
Thanks
Ed

well, i havent played games in a dually xp setup before, but if you're not going to do any video editing, cad, fotoshop, or anything else that benefits from a second cpu, then get the athlon 64. i personally have never used an athlon 64 setup (i know i know! i'm an amd fanboy and havent used an a64 yet!), but i do really like a dual setup. if i were you, i'd stay wtih the dually as long as it handles half-life 2 and doom 3 fine.

Stick with your dualy unless you can afford to get a 3700+ or higher. I realy suggest going dual opteron, they are a nice step up. The only reason everyone does go is they arent as fun to OC and they are horrible expensive. For performance comparison, in games my 2800+ is about as fast as an XP at 2.4ghz. In general usage the difference isnt as big.
