Dual Xeon 1.7GHz

So yea if I slap a 6800GT AGP in an IBM dual xeon 256kb cache RDRAM SCSI server will it be a decent gaming PC? I'm worried about the ECC RDRAM but primarily the dual 1.7's.

Thanks for your input

Well then...I'm not sure. I just know Woodcrest cores are basically server-versions of the Core 2 Duo.

I guess its good for gaming if you want to play Diablo II and Counter-Strike: Source in windowed mode.

For games without the ability to take advantage of multiple cores, it will be like running a single 1.7 GHz Pentium 4 Willamette. For those that can take advantage of multiple cores, it will be like running with two of them.

In either case, not great.

If there's enough RAM it should keep up adequately, but if not then adding more is cost-prohibitive.

Those are essentially first generation or so P4s. They suck as they have little cache and not enough memory bandwith for a netburst CPU.
